Community Service Projects
A commitment that extends beyond the classroom: we bring our values to those who need them most.
One of our Congregation's missions is to bring the values we uphold to the places where they are most needed. For this reason, we have various social service programs through which we support our communities.
Góngora Social Welfare Foundation
Góngora Social Welfare Program
The Góngora Social Welfare Foundation supports low-income women through courses designed to promote their personal development and economic self-sufficiency, and helps elementary school children catch up on their studies. The Christmas Bazaar raises funds to strengthen this social work and promote community solidarity.
Missions in Nachic, Chiapas, and in the Sierra de Puebla
Missions in Chiapas and Puebla
Once a year, a group made up of nuns, teachers, students, and alumni takes a trip through thirteen villages mired in extreme poverty, where—by improving crops, building houses, or simply spending time together—we reaffirm the meaning of community service.
Toluca's Community Outreach Program
Toluca's Community Outreach Program
For the past two years, the Miraflores Toluca School has been supporting communities in the municipality of Santiago Tianguistenco through catechism classes to prepare for the sacraments, the construction of homes for homeless families, Holy Week missions, and Christmas posadas.
León's Social Programs
León's Social Programs
The work of Colegio Miraflores combines educational excellence, social action, mission, and worship, educating its students in technology, sports, and culture; supporting vulnerable children; bringing hope to communities in the Guanajuato Highlands; and promoting prayer and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
