Extracurricular Activities

At Miraflores, we believe that a person’s education cannot be confined entirely to the classroom. That is why, beyond the academic curriculum, we create opportunities where each student can discover their talents, test their discipline, and connect with others outside the classroom.

This program is not a standalone initiative: it is a natural extension of our educational model. What a student experiences on the field, during a rehearsal, or through a community service activity reinforces the very values we seek to instill in the classroom—perseverance, teamwork, empathy for others, and self-confidence.

Sports Activities

At Miraflores, physical activity is an integral part of our students’ overall development from an early age. Through physical education classes and our LIONS sports teams, we foster healthy habits, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance both on and off the field.

The sports activities we offer* are: soccer, basketball, taekwondo, and swimming.

Through soccer, you'll develop your agility, coordination, and full potential, turning the team sport into a life experience that fosters values, discipline, and camaraderie both on and off the field.

Basketball is played with your mind and heart: here, you'll learn to read the court in an instant, to trust your team completely, and to make decisions under pressure, combining tactical intelligence with the skills that will prepare you to lead any game, both on and off the court.

The adrenaline kicks in when the ball takes flight! Volleyball is pure energy, teamwork, and celebration with every point; here, you’ll discover the true power of synchrony, where a perfect pass, a spectacular spike, and celebrating with your team will teach you that victory is built in the air and is always enjoyed with a smile.

More than just a combat sport, taekwondo is the art of mastering your mind to control your body; here, you’ll forge an indomitable spirit rooted in respect, courtesy, and perseverance, channeling your energy into highly precise kicks and solid defenses that build unshakable confidence that will last a lifetime.

As you immerse yourself in swimming, you’ll gain control over your body, your breathing, and your mental strength, turning every stroke into a path of self-improvement, resilience, and holistic health that will teach you to overcome any challenge.

In track and field, you develop endurance, strength, and coordination, transforming physical effort into a powerful educational tool that fosters discipline, mental health, and personal growth through perseverance

Cultural Activities

We foster our students' artistic and cultural awareness through music, visual arts, theater, and other creative expressions, which enrich their personal development and provide them with new ways to express themselves.

Chess fosters logical thinking, concentration, and decision-making. Through this discipline, students develop strategic thinking, patience, and analytical skills while learning to solve problems creatively.

Music is an integral part of our students’ overall development, helping to strengthen skills such as coordination, self-expression, concentration, and teamwork. Through the Miraflores Choir and Orchestra, students discover their talents in a creative and fun environment.

At Miraflores School, we offer an orchestra program featuring the following instruments:

• Violin

• Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, and ukulele

• Piano

• Saxophone and clarinet

• Percussion and drums

Orchestra activities are not included in tuition. Choir, singing, and recorder activities are part of the school curriculum.

Taking the stage involves imagining, performing, and learning to communicate. Theater work strengthens oral expression, creativity, self-confidence, and the ability to work with others.

Music serves as the starting point for exploring different styles and movements. Dancing helps you develop coordination, fluidity, musicality, and confidence in front of others.

Rhythm, tradition, and movement come together in one of Spain's most iconic dances. Students learn the steps and sequences while working on their posture, coordination, and expression.

Colors, materials, and techniques become tools for creation. Each project invites you to observe, experiment, and develop your own artistic vision.
